Screening of “People” at the European Parliament in Brussels
The global journey of “People” is drawing to a close, but its epilogue will remain not only in our memories, but in history itself.
It is not only an honor, but above all, a great responsibility to once again draw the world’s attention to Ukraine, standing before the representatives of all of Europe.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the screening partners who made it possible for our filmmakers’ voices to be heard in Parliament:
The Polish Film Institute,
The Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU,
The Polish Institute in Brussels,
Poland25.EU,
And Marta Wcisło, Member of the European Parliament.
The screening was attended by:
Vladyslav Deva (2nd Director),
Rymma Tyshkevich (portraying the Mother),
Oksana Cherkashyna (portraying the Doctor),
Afina Ostapenko (portraying Ania),
Maiia Ostapenko, Afina’s mother,
And Mikołaj Bernatowicz, cinematographer representing the Warsaw Film School.
The screenings were part of the series “Third Anniversary: Unity in the Face of Threat.”
International screenings and meetings with the filmmakers would not have been possible without the support of the Polish Film Institute.
