Warsaw Film School’s film “People” presented in Cannes
This Monday, May 20th Warsaw Film School will proudly present its new feature film “People” at Cannes’s Festival at Marche du Film.
The film was directed by Maciej Ślesicki, chancellor of Warsaw Film School, and Filip Hillesland, school’s graduate.
This is an up-to-date moving, brutal story of love and sacrifice, inspired by true accounts from war-torn Ukraine.
The story of five ordinary women who are far from being heroines. A blind girl who becomes the caretaker of a group of orphans. A female doctor treating a Russian faces a huge moral dilemma. A teenage girl tries to save her little sister at all costs. An elderly woman does not want to leave her home. A mother moves to the front to find her son. Their intertwined fates move you to the core and remind you that war is just around the corner.

The cocktail reception will be held the same day 20 May between 17:00 – 19:00 at the Polish Film Institute at Village International – Riviera booth #122. At the meeting the creators, Filip Hillesland and 1st AD Vladyslav Deva, school's student, will be available for the Q&A.
